CCMM

CCMM: Cyberspace CoCreative Music Machina is an ongoing research and artistic project that explores machine musicianship through embodied, real-time human–AI musical interaction. The system is designed as a modular co-creative platform capable of listening, interpreting, and responding to performers with musically coherent actions using both physical actuation and symbolic music generation. CCMM currently supports control of up to eight physical actuators, with a scalable architecture that allows future expansion to larger electromechanical ensembles.

In parallel, it generates expressive MIDI performances for external virtual instruments employing custom-trained AI models that infer musical context, interaction roles, and performer intent from multimodal telemetry. CMM aims to operate as an autonomous musical collaborator capable of participating in improvisation, accompaniment, dialogue, and shared creative decision-making across acoustic, electronic, and hybrid performance environments.
